Lack of control truly is at the center of so many problems when it comes to cancer. There are a lot of things we can’t control in this life, but not having control over basic body functions is one that is just so hard to be ok with. Thank you for the comment!

Thank you for this comment, and for understanding what it can feel like to experience things that are “worse than death”. This felt so true during most of my treatment. Denise is really strong for doing what she did. It takes a lot to endure that kind of treatment. I appreciate the prayers!! 🙂

Thank you for taking the time to read! And it is a hard balance to find for sure. You don’t want to overwhelm a patient with a lot of scary information about side effects, but when it came to the topic of weight gain, I think it is important to discuss it just so patients are less self-conscious and know that it is still ok to eat a healthy amount of food. Thank you so much Caleb!!! I really try to be vulnerable and authentic when I write so that people can understand how difficult it was for me to come as far as I have. I don’t ever want another cancer survivor to look at my life and think that I don’t understand how difficult that battle was.it’s easier to connect with people who are hurting or struggling if they know you understand how much things can hurt.I just want to do my best to help connect to other people.
